Kate Tutty Creative is a Vancouver island photographer that specializes in storytelling and heirloom artwork – digital, 8 mm and 35 mm creative event coverage and intimate portraiture. She's a creative visual storyteller who creates and curates documentary-style imagery throughout BC and select destinations. Her work has elegant, emotive, candid and ethereal qualities inspired by contemporary fashion and moody photojournalism. Her style resonates most with passionate folx who value creative expression and joyful experiences.

To date, her work is featured by Rocky Mountain Bride, Shopify, and Bridal Fashion Week Vancouver. In 2022, she was a finalist for the group photo category for the Vancouver Island Wedding Awards.

Celebrating 15 years behind the lens

My passion for photography began on Vancouver Island in the dark room of my high school film class over 15 years ago. I was in my art-nerd, shy as possible, wall flower era, and had I not started bringing my camera to events I may have never learned how to see and turn strangers into my dearest friends.

Over the years photography has grown into a deep desire to help people capture and preserve their greatest moments and to reflect on, feel, and see their own authentic and unique beauty. Working with me is a fun, grounded, organized, and education-oriented experience from start to finish.

To all my clients I bring what can best be described as:

– a soothing energy and reassurance

– a role with the punches optimism and professionalism

– creative and timeless artwork and experiences

What matters most about our work together is that we celebrate experiences – one that fully focuses on creating and capturing the story and emotions at the core of your fondest memories.
